Let’s Venture Out: Storyline Conference

by Joe on January 20, 2012

“…Life cannot be understood flat on a page. It has to be lived; a person has to get out of his head, has to fall in love, has to memorize poems, has to jump off bridges into rivers…We get one story, you and I, and one story alone. God has established the elements, the setting and the climax and resolution. It would be a crime not to venture out, wouldn’t it?”

Donald Miller, Through Painted Deserts

I ventured out today. Booked a ticket to the Storyline conference. We were able to grab a group of 5 awesome guys to head out to Portland together.

Have you ventured out recently?

I haven’t traveled lately , but I have ventured out by volunteering at the church to co-lead a small group of high school fellas. I think that each of us needs a Paul, and we need to be a Paul, as well. I make this comment, even though I am now part of the noise. 😉

Greg, you are so noisy. Glad to see you are being or trying to be a Paul! Or at least hopefully a less noisy one.
