Good People Day 2008: Who is your good people?
by Joe on April 4, 2008
So according to Gary today, April 3, 2008 is Good People Day, a day where you just pause for a minute to shout out some good people. His video and his energy started the whole day:
I love it. A day of humility across an industry that can sometimes be absorbed with money, getting funded, publicity, and hubris. So, my list of good people today include:
- My sister: She spent her spring break helping an orphanage in the Dominican Republic. As Calacanis says: respek!
- Andrew C. has put together some really large lists of folks he respects and admires as well as lists of other folks who respect and admire others too. He knows he learned from the community. Its great to see someone so thankful.
- Jeremiah has also put together some nice collections of folks on twitter who are ‘Good People’
- Chris Brogan gave a great rendition of people he wanted to recognize on Twitter.
- The author and blogger Shannon Hale is good people.
GPD08 ConclusionsGood people tend to attract and know more good people. The good people I know linked to and said thanks to other good people. Therefore it is reasonable to conclude that good people help good people, and behind every good person there are more good people. The world is a great place full of innovative, exciting, passionate and amicable folks, just find one and you will surely find more ‘Good People’. #GPD08
