by Joe on January 5, 2009

My friend and the New Media Cincinnati co-founder, Daniel Johnson Jr. left a great comment asking me how I was able to export my list of tweets that have links to a weekly twitter post.

In a nutshell, its just automating something I already do, share TONS of interesting posts using google reader by pushing those links into a blog post!

You too can create a Great link post on your blog just follow my handy “how to” below:

Here are four easy steps to take your shared items to the next level:

  1. Create a unique twitter account that is different from your primary account.
  2. Set up a twitterfeed for your new twitter account by linking it to your google reader shared items feed.  This is how I created a twitter link blog.
  3. Make sure you blog using wordpress. Then download and install Alex (the wordpress plugin) King’s Twitter Tools wordpress plugin
  4. Set the plugin to use your new shared items twitter account and to create a weekly digest of links shared on google reader!

Four easy steps to make your shared items in google reader matter a bit more.  I hope my readers can take advantage of finding new content via my new automatic twitter link posts!

Because this blog is about you, my awesome readers, I want to hear your thoughts about these new posts.  Please leave me a comment to tell me what you think! Are these links of value to you?
